#3 goes down in a flame of glory. Shaping grind, jimped and filework.... HT, tempering....
Getting ready to start the final grind and then it happened.
A slip in consintration and a slip out of the hand...
Determined to put it out of my mind, I started on 3 more. A little different shaping on these. I also decided to shorten the cutting edge on 2 of them. The overall length of the razor is the same as any other but on 2 the cuting edge will only be 2.5". The other will be the more common 2 3/4".
Hoping to be a little more careful this time...

Preview of next custom
Here is a look at the next custom in the works.
Pretty simple design but I decided to play with a little filework.
Still have to clean up the spine work and tang. Then into the fire.

Custom Razor #2
Well here is the 2nd edition.
I think the lines came out smoother on this one, still improvement to be made but over all pleased with how it came out.
3,4 & 5 are in the roughing out stage. #3 has someone willing to give her a new home. So when it's done, it will be shipped out and hopefully provide year of services.
#2

Hope to have final grind done on custom #2 this weekend for first of next week. But I have a few restore to do before I can get to it.

Rescaled this nice vintage Vincent..
Love the shape and weight of the blade. The only problem I found with it is, it's not in my collection..
